The challenge
Organize, write/edit, and input 80+ pages of content (text, images, videos, links, and metadata) into Drupal 8.
In response, I developed a step-by-step strategy to get 80+ pages completed and the new site launched within the 8-week timeline.
SERVICES Project management, information architecture, quality assurance testing, UX writing and editing, content migration into Drupal 8
PROJECT Streamline booking services through storytelling. Showcase 8 resort destinations with style and class.

The solution
Information architecture
I developed a holistic info arch for Welk Resorts that spanned from an asset naming convention for easy findability to meta data for SEO and accessibility.
Organized 1500+ assets by page, resort destination, content section, meta data, etc. for Drupal 8 and data asset management (DAM) system
Wrote meta data, alt tags, and image descriptions using A11y best practices, SEO strategy, and the WR style guide
Quality assurance testing
As I published pages to the testing site, I tracked bugs and errors for design and development to keep the project moving.
Conducted on-going quality assurance testing and reported 100+ errors, helping to correct when I could
Collaborated closely with front- and back-end development team leads
UX writing and editing
Acting as final proofer, I reviewed the copy before importing it into Drupal 8 for the optimal user experience.
Write/edit marketing copy to match WR style guide (voice and tone, formatting, punctuation, etc.)
Recommended that 2 of 8 resorts’ copy be re-written to flow with the rest of the narrative
Content management
Before I could start the content migration, I gathered all of the content from multiple stakeholders.
Managed the content and tracked it on a spreadsheet visible to the entire team
Input all content into Drupal 8
Collaborated closely with the UX design lead and marketing content strategist
Writing sample
Following the WR style guide to create voice and tone and formatting consistency, I edited every page using content design best practices. Here, I recommended that we use short sentences, bullet points, and plain language. The only thing I’d change about this page is the block paragraph.
